Sergey Petrossov Sparks a Movement in the Luxury Aviation Industry

Sergey Petrossov is a Russian immigrant to the South Florida area who understood the value of hard work and always had a passion for being entrepreneurial. When he was in high school he attempted to create an export/import tire rim business for cars. That didn’t necessarily take off as planned, but it did prepare him for creating a business in the transportation industry. You see, Sergey Petrossov is the young up and coming 29-year-old tycoon sitting on Forbes 30 Under 30 list who is backed by Jay-Z, the board members of Uber, Microsoft, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and NASA. His company “JetSmarter” has digitized the luxury charter private jet and helicopter industry to the tune of a $1.5 Billion valuation, and what was once analog entirely, Sergey Petrossov has now converted totally to digital.

JetSmarter charges a $15,000 USD per person per year fee, and in exchange, all clients get to choose their seats on private jets on the empty legs back from one-way charters which would normally be empty anyway. It’s a genius business model, and Sergey Petrossov made it happen all through a mobile app (watch an interview with Sergey here). Before 2012 he hired a slew of coders with the profits from his prior online business: a Russian-English educational remote teaching platform. Sergey Petrossov has always been an entrepreneur at heart, and though sometimes it takes a little bit of a warmup in life to get things going for oneself, anything is possible with belief in self and persistent work towards a common goal.
