Learn the name people…RAMON SESSIONS.

Ramon Sessions is going to have a breakout second-half with the absence of Michael Redd.

It’s pronounced “Rah-Mahn.”

He is about to explode, literally explode on to the NBA scene, he has the second half of the season to showcase his ability, and he will do just that. He was unfairly stuck on Scott Skiles’ bench in Milwaukee, but with a season-ending injury to Michael Redd, it’s time to shine.

Sessions shined last season in a starting role in the season’s final month, averaging nearly 11 points and 11 assists, including a 20 point, 24 assists performance against the Chicago Bulls last April.

This season Sessions averaged 15.8 points, 5.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds in the month of November before finding himself buried on the bench when Redd, Charlie Bell and Luke Ridnour found themselves healthy.

If you don’t know who Ramon Sessions is right now, you will by the end of the season, and if for some odd reason he is available in your fantasy league, PICK HIM UP!!

"STAT" passed Carmelo Anthony during the final week of fan voting, this will be Stoudemire's fourth All-Star appearance, but his first as a starter.

Tonight on ‘Inside the NBA’ the starters for the 58th NBA All-Star Game will be announced.

Among those players announced will be Amare Stoudemire, who passed Carmelo Anthony in voting over the last week (on Jan 12 Stoudemire trailed Anthony by over 10,000 votes). Stoudemire has been an All-Star four of the last five seasons (he missed most of the 2005-06 season). This will be Stoudemire’s first time voted in as a starter, he will be joining Tim Duncan and Yao Ming in the Western Conference’s large frontcourt.

The rest of the starters will be announced tonight at 7 PM on TNT.

This is disgusting, seriously disgusting.

Jarrett Johnson of Anderson University (a Christian College in Indiana) with the dunk of the year, granted it’s only January, it’s going to be hard to top this one.

Nicole Richie “likes” the MVP.

January 21, 2009

Nicole Richie seems to be a bit under the influence here, I think she normally is, well before her pregnancy at least. The clip speaks for itself, but if I were Joel Madden, I would definitely watch my girl around Kobe Bryant. With that said, see for yourself…

Richard Hamilton moving to the bench.

January 20, 2009

The Pistons have played pretty rough lately, they lost five in a row, finally winning one against the Grizzlies last night. The team has struggled adjusting to their new coach and the arrival of Allen Iverson.

The Pistons are still one of the best teams in the East. They’re currently 23-17, but that’s not saying much for a team that has dominated the East over the last six seasons.

Hamilton is averaging 16.7 points per game for the Pistons this season, before being moved to the bench.

Hamilton is averaging 16.7 points per game for the Pistons this season, before being moved to the bench.

The Pistons have decided to move away from “small-ball,” the Pistons have finally decided to move one of their “core” players to the bench. Richard Hamilton will now come off the bench for Detroit, making room for forward Amir Johnson to start alongside Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince in Detroit’s frontcourt. Detroit will continue to start Rodney Stuckey and Allen Iverson as their starting guards.

Pistons coach Michael Curry says Hamilton will still continue to get around 30 minutes per game, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Hamilton seems to be taking the move in stride, as he should be, look at what Manu Ginobili and Jason Terry have been able to do off the bench.

“That’s how I look at it: Just a sacrifice sometimes you got to make in order to win games,” said Hamilton, who last came off the bench in 2001-02, his third and final season in Washington. “Bottom line, I want to try to get back to the promised land.”

Rudy Fernandez of the Portland Trail Blazers is the fourth contestant in the 2009 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, as voted in by the fans. Here is a message from Rudy thanking fans for the vote, I honestly have no idea what he is saying in about half of it.

Here is why he was voted in… or maybe this is why… No THIS is why he won the vote, wow, this guy is amazing…
