CLYDE'S RESTAURANT WAYNESVILLE, NC

According to the menu located in the restaurant, this is “where the home folks eat. These are the places we love going to. Clyde’s Restaurant looked like an awesome place to try out and they made us feel like home folks too.

Clyde’s Restaurant is located in the downtown portion of Waynesville, NC right across the street from Walmart and best buy.

It is surrounded by beautiful mountains as a backdrop. Clyde’s Restaurant has that nostalgic ’70s diner feel to it when you pull up in the parking lot.

It just looks like it would have good food. When we showed up it was fall and they had the outside decorated to a tee for fall, I could not wait to get inside to try it out.

Trying out a new restaurant brings out a lot of mixed emotions. It can make you excited and nervous at the same time. You never know if it will be good or bad.

In this case, though, Clyde’s Restaurant was really good. I am actually excited about eating there again the next time we visit. Make sure you watch our video below to see our experience once we were inside

On this trip to Clyde’s, it was fall time. We were visiting Maggie Valley, NC which is just a few short miles away. We always tend to gravitate to the quaint and beautiful town of Waynesville, NC. While on this trip, we decided to check out Clyde’s since we were on this side of town shopping.

Walking in the door is like taking a step back in time. I love the look and feel of the Diner.

It was time to order and I ordered the open-faced roast beef sandwich that came with a side of mashed potatoes. They also brought out these delicious rolls with our food. I really enjoyed the food and would definitely recommend them.

If you are in the area of Waynesville, NC, be sure to stop by Clyde’s Restaurant to check out where the local people eat. I am sure you will agree with me that it is delicious too! While you are there grab one of their shirts, I hear they are popular, I know I grabbed one.
