Everyone hates Jay Leno, because Conan’s ratings were bad and NBC didn’t want to give him a fair shot to improve on them. I don’t understand it, but nobody should be dogging Leno. The people that watch late-night TV during that time slot, obviously just don’t understand Conan’s humor. Nevertheless, Conan bowed out gracefully and Leno will be taking back “The Tonight Show” in just a couple weeks.
Before the change takes place, Charles Barkley swung by “The Jay Leno Show” to do the ‘10 at 10′ segment.
Philadelphia 76ers’ center Samuel Dalembert has been a face for Haiti in the United States since the tragic earthquake last week. He appeared on Larry King Live last week to discuss the tragedy.
Dalembert was excused from the Sixers today to travel to his native country, he’s already donated $100,000 through his organization to UNICEF. He is expected to play in Wednesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
If you’re interested in donating to the victim’s of Haiti, please click here.
There is no doubt that Tim Donaghy is shady. There is no doubt that the guy definitely wouldn’t mind making money off of a book, some interviews or anything else he can do to get some pub and speak out.
I think we all always knew that stars get favorable calls, and the refs have some bias. In that same breath, I think we can say for the most part, it’s never totally ruined an NBA game or season.
After Ron Artest admitting to drinking Hennessy during halftime (circa 1999-2002), he also said that he still wants to fight Ben Wallace.
“I see Ben, I’m on my guard now. I’m always in the mood to fight him. … I’ll get suspended 10 games, 15 games (because) I’ll just fight him right there. It won’t go into the stands.”
I’m going to say this one more time (even though if you read this blog, you damn well know the answer), I’m a huge Artest fan, but dude is nuts with this statement.
Wallace thinks the same.
“He said he wants to fight me?” Wallace asked reporters before Wednesday night’s Pistons-Bulls game.
“Yeah,” a reporter responded.
“Well, [you] need to test him and see if he’s still drinking,” Wallace said.
Wallace is my guy, always has been, but in no bias whatsoever — Artest is talking crazy, unless he wants his ass handed to him.
Not only is “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” hilarious, he has everyone from the NBA on his show. Kimmel has been having tons of NBA related guests lately, providing us with plenty of great interviews. The latest guest, Charles Barkley, is top-notch. I could watch Barkley talk for hours, so it’s good to see him making his way around the talk show circuit.
Kimmel takes some shots at Barkley, but the interview is hilarious and Barkley plays some teaherball at the end. Classic.
There are three parts to Barkley’s Kimmel appearance, so for the rest…
This weekend he started talking again — but now, it’s getting better…
Arenas is about to get on Twitter. For this amazingness to happen he wants one-million followers. Hopefully this doesn’t take long (he currently only has 812 followers, so this needs to spread like wildfire). Twitter needs “Agent 0″ and so do the fans and the entire NBA. It’s good to know that he’s getting back in form, and just in time for Antawn Jamison’s return to action.
