2012 was a big year for InnovaCare Health. Essentially, it was the culmination of many years of hard work by individuals like Dr. Richard Shinto. Dr. Richard Shinto’s career had been centered around patient care up until this point, but he wanted to learn more about the insurance side of things. He thought that if he could add a physician’s perspective into this part of the industry it would change the way that insurance companies were managed. The first thing that he did was join the North American Medical Management organization or NAMM. NAMM would eventually be a stepping stone to a partnership with an entity called The Straus Group. This is where InnovaCare began to really expand their area of coverage across the United States. It was an exciting time for the company in 2003. Unfortunately, InnovaCare itself did not exist at this time. That would come much later in 2012 when a portion of the management team restructure the company to become what it is today.
